Martell's Double Gloucester

In 1972, Charles Martell bought a farm and set about the process of re-establishing the Gloucester Cow, which at the time numbered just 68 head worldwide. With half a dozen cows and a bull, he started producing milk for the making of Double Gloucester Cheese. It is firm and dense with a tangerine orange colour, buttery in the mouth with a fresh acidity on the finish.
